Where can I find translucent vellum paper to make my own wedding invitations?
Posted by admin | Under Wedding Invitation Kits Thursday Nov 24, 2011I have found wedding invitation kits, but I'd like to just by the paper and make them myself. I know where to get the cards that go in them, but I'd like to find some pretty translucent vellum to wrap the cards in, or cover them. Where can I find this? I've looked at all the craft stores.
in my area walmart carries tons of them!

Try your local printing shop….they usually have that stuff on hand since they print wedding invitations
Good Luck and Congrats!

Michael’s usually sells vellum paper mixed in with the open stock scrapbook paper… did you check there? You would probably have to cut it down to size, depending on the size of the paper/your invitations.

At a professional art supply store, or you might have to order it online if you don’t have a store like that in your city.

Any craft store like Hobby Lobby, or a scrapbook shop.

Hi. I know you said you looked at a craft stores. I don’t know if there is one in your area, but have you tried a Michael’s Craft Store? I used to work there, and I KNOW they sell lots of vellum. Another idea is a scrapbook store or a scrapbook supply store. Or….look online and order some.

It depends where you are, I found mine in a stationary store. It comes in a pad that looks like old fashioned typing paper and is branded as "Goldline Tracing Pad – Professional quality, smooth tracing paper with excellent transparency" A4 90gsm
You could always try doing a Froogle search for your area.

Joannes or Michaels if you have them in your area, otherwise try to find a scrapbooking store

(this brings you to the one I am using for my programs. The site has a lot of different types of paper and was very easy to deal with). It exceeded my expectations.
