I have found wedding invitation kits, but I’d like to just by the paper and make them myself. I know where to get the cards that go in them, but I’d like to find some pretty translucent vellum to wrap the cards in, or cover them. Where can I find this? I’ve looked at all the craft stores.

Me and my fiance are planning on designing and printing our own wedding invations/rsvp’s etc. We are planning in sending about 300 invites out and most kits weve seen sell packs of 50 for around 30$. They get to be pretty expensive. So Im wondering if anyone knows of a reputable website that sells nice paper by the bulk.
I did my own invitations. We found a local printing store and bought our paper from there. But here are some online options for bulk paper:

I’ve also heard Target has them. The other places I was told to look was www.lcipaper.com, Paper direct 800-272-7377 and Queblo 800-523-9080. If you call to get catalogs…ask for samples. Also print something on the paper first to check the quality prior to ordering. You can also go to www.ultimatewedding.com and they have a section on their website of how to print your own wedding invitations. Hope this helps.
I want to find a dyi wedding invitation kits with a heart theme but all I can find the double linked -silver or gold hearts. This is too popular and i wanted to find something else. Does anyone know where I can find these? Online or in a store somewhere?

I’m not finding any wedding invitations that really suit my fiance and I. Has anyone made their own wedding stationery? How did you do it? Did you use a kit? Were you pleased with the results? What were your favorite resources to use? What would you recommend to anyone wanting to do the same?
We also couldn’t find a kit that suited our personality, so we just made our own. Archivers is a scrap booking store in our city ~ they have a *ton* of paper supplies for us to use. We actually used paper & envelopes from different collections, but you can’t tell.
We browsed the stamp collection & paper collection for ideas. Printed everything at home on our computer.
Everyone has complemented us on our invitations. In fact, many people have called to ask if they are handmade or pre-purchased ~ they all say, "I have heard you were handmaking them, but these look too nice."

My fiance and I just went to order the invites we want online, and found out that they will not ship to canada. Does anyone know of any good invitation kits that we can order that will ship to canada?

Possibly Target? We got ours there and we printed them ourselves on our home computer. It is a convienent and cost effective option. Try craft stores, stores like walmart, target and see if they ship to Canada. But there has to be some sort of big chain store or craft store that offers these kits.
